- Ronald E. F. Codd, Chairman

Ron Codd currently operates as an independent consultant for various high-technology companies and has more than 25 years of financial and administrative experience with rapid-growth technology companies, including MIPS Computer Systems, Inc., Wyse Technology, Inc. and Tandem Computers (now Hewlett-Packard Company). Previously Ron served as CFO, Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, and Secretary at PeopleSoft, Inc. Under his leadership, PeopleSoft grew its annual revenues from $15 million to $1.5 billion and its employment base from 75 to approximately 7,000. Ron marshaled PeopleSoft's successful Initial Public Offering in 1992, and has been involved as a senior management team member or corporate Director in 6 IPOs.
Following his tenure at PeopleSoft, Ron assumed the role of President, CEO and Secretary at spin-out software firm Momentum Business Applications, Inc., which was later repurchased by PeopleSoft. In addition to his position on the UltraCell Corporation board, Ron is on the board of directors of four other companies, three of which are publicly held.
He has a B.S. in Business with an accounting emphasis from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.M. in Management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
- Keith Scott, Chief Executive Officer

Keith Scott brings more than 15 years of CEO experience to UltraCell. Prior to UltraCell, Keith was CEO of NHT (Now Hear This), a high-end home theater equipment manufacturer. Keith has over 20 years experience in software and supply chain management companies. Keith was SVP Sales and Marketing at Alien Technology, a leader in the RFID market where he was responsible for building their go to market strategy. He was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Red Rock Ventures where he held interim CEO positions for portfolio companies and assisted in deal generation and evaluation. He served as CEO for venture-backed supply chain companies: Openshelf.com and Bindco, both of which were acquired. He also served as board member for SpinCircuit.com, a product life cycle management software company, which was an investment of Flextronics, Avnet and Cadence.
Previously, Mr. Scott served as CEO of Metcal, Inc., a proprietary heating technology company with products in electronics manufacturing, commercial foodservice and natural gas distribution equipment. He also was Sr. VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Flextronics International, one of the world's largest providers of electronics manufacturing services. Mr. Scott holds an MBA and a BA from UCLA.
- Keith Gillard, Director

Mr. Gillard is Principal of BASF Venture Capital America, based in Silicon Valley, California.
Mr. Gillard has twenty years’ experience as an investor and entrepreneur, with the past eight years
focused on cleantech and advanced materials. Since joining BASF in March 2006, he has led investments
into SDCmaterials Inc., Pangaea Ventures II Ltd., Luca Technologies LLC, Ultracell Corporation,
ARCH Venture Fund VII, Arcadia Biosciences, Inc. and Sciona, Inc.
From 2001-2006, Mr. Gillard was with Mitsubishi Corporation and responsible for technology-related investment
and business development activities in Canada, with a specific focus on cleantech. Mr. Gillard was the only non-Japanese member
of the Mitsubishi Corporation Fuel Cell Business Development Office in Tokyo, and was instrumental in
establishing Japanese markets and partners for several Canadian and American cleantech companies.
Prior to joining Mitsubishi, Mr. Gillard began his career in investment banking, structuring mergers and
acquisitions as well as manufacturing technology joint ventures into China. In the late ‘90’s, he had a
five-year spell as an entrepreneur in IT, establishing three companies in succession and taking them from
business plan through financing to completion of product and exit.
Mr. Gillard currently sits on the boards of ARCH Venture Fund VII, Chrysalix Energy Limited Partnerships
I and II, Pangaea Ventures II Ltd., Sciona Inc., SDCmaterials Inc. and Ultracell Corporation, and is a board
observer for Arcadia Biosciences Inc. He also sits on the Advisory Board of the National Venture Capital
Association Corporate Venture Group, and is the co-author of “Inside the Minds: Energy Venture Capital Best
Practices”, published in 2008 by Aspatore Books. Mr. Gillard is a member of the selection committee of the
Cleantech Venture Forum, advisory committees of the IBF Nanotech Conference, Larta Institute’s Venture Forum
and the Small Times NanoCon, and is a founding member of the Californian Consortium on Green Chemistry.
- Jason Rottenberg, Director

Jason Rottenberg is the Managing Director of OnPoint Technologies and is responsible for its day-to-day operations, as well as interfacing with the senior leadership at the Army and Department of Defense. Jason maintains an active role in the investment process and portfolio management, serving as a director of three portfolio companies.
Jason began his career with Arthur Andersen's Enterprise Group in Washington, D.C. After being recruited to the firm's Silicon Valley office he was responsible for over 30 clients and managing over 50 different engagement teams. His clients ranged from recently funded start-up companies to multinational Global 1000 corporations within his high-technology industry focus. During that time, Jason worked with numerous industry leaders such as Oracle Corporation, Microsoft Corporation, Genesys Telecommunications Labs, Inc. and Foundry Networks, Inc. – many during their formative stages.
Jason earned an MBA from Harvard University's Graduate School of Business, where he was named a George F. Baker Scholar, the University’s highest distinction, and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.
